The role of tacit folk knowledge and implicit judgments during contextualized language use in local, socially organized settings as speakers/listeners and observers process on-line discourse, including open-ended and fixed-choice questions.
Current research at the Center for Memory Aging and Psychophysiology Lab, UC Berkeley: The ability, or lack thereof of patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and Frontal Temporal Lobe Deterioration to initiate and sustain speech events, normal social interaction, and the extent to which they can project a socio-cultural sense of self and self-awareness.
